Programming of microcontrollers used in measurement control and data acquisition system for electron spectrometers

A brief description of the topic:

Firmware development in C or assembly language for target circuits using microcontrollers. By the help of the software the modular measurement control and data acquisition system should communicate with a PC (through the USB port), should digitally control power supplies, and counting the incoming detector pulses per unit time. The nature of the task assumes that the candidate has at least basic knowledge in digital electronics.

The sub-tasks for this topic can be developed alone or in a group. Teaching material, peripheral support library and sample programs are available in the SELF TEACHING MATERIALS menu. We have a lot of different Microcontroller development boards which can be used for teaching and software development.

We are looking forward for the application of technical IT or electrical engineering students.
